There have been some excellent new games coming out lately. One segment that I had never been interested in are the hidden object games.
I found the original hidden object games way too difficult for older adults. First the objects were tiny hard for older people to see. This meant that it was very difficult to win the game. I would consistently run out of time and quit because I couldn’t get beyond the first or second level.
Any game that is so difficult that I have no chance of getting beyond level one or two is not a game I will buy. Although I want a challenge, I also want to know that I am capable of winning the game. I got so discouraged I would not even do a free 60 minute trial…why bother?
But the newest generation of hidden object Downloads – Puzzle Games are much more user friendly for older adults. The objects are larger and easier to find, they seem to give you more time and more hints so I am able to actually win some of these games.
One such game is Big City Adventure – San Francisco This is fun and gives interesting details about the different neighborhood and tourist spots in San Francisco. I would recommend this as an introduction to hidden object games. Find it on the Big Fish game site…
