I bought a new hidden object game named Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos at Big Fish (my favorite online game place).
I have several other hidden object games…each by a different game developer. Each game designer does things differently. And you can tell when you open the game for your free 60 minute trial who it is by or you can tell just by the look of the game.
Anyway, I had never played any games from whoever developed Interpol. But I do like the game so I bought it. It is a nice looking game and it holds my interest.
The objects are hidden in various scenes in locations such as London, Rome, Paris, Tokyo and Hollywood. You are given your assignment and pick the location you want to start with. And there is a time limit and a little mini game at the end of the level.
It is not too difficult so that you cannot win. I would rate it as medium in difficulty.
One reason that it is somewhat easier to find the hidden objects is that many are located where you would logically find them. So if you are looking for a mirror, look on the table. This is unique among hidden object games that I’ve played…I like it!
And believe me there are some hidden objects that are too hard to win. I won’t buy those. I play games for a challenge but not for total frustration.
Some game developers just don’t get this concept. So if during the 60 minute free trial (that I get with all Big Fish games), I cannot even get through one ot two levels and have already reached my frustration point, I won’t buy the game.
